Sacraments

Sacramental preparation is a two year process. If you attended a program elsewhere, a letter stating that your child completed the previous year is required. Please bring to registration.

First Reconciliation and First Eucharist

For those entering the second grade, First Reconciliation and First Eucharist will be celebrated this year. A COPY OF THE CHILD’S BAPTISMAL CERTIFICATE IS REQUIRED AT THE TIME OF REGISTRATION. With out this very important document, your child cannot receive these Sacraments. Please have a copy we can retain for our records with you at the time of registration.

Confirmation

For the past two years, the Sacrament of Confirmation has been received in the 8th grade. This year, after much consideration by Fr. Liam, Andy Guarriello (Confirmation teacher), Bill Buhs (Life Teen Director) and myself, Cathy Roach (Director of Religious Education) it has been determined that Confirmation will now be received in the 9th grade or higher. Please remember as with all Sacrament preparation, this is a two year process. Students will need to be enrolled either in Life Teen (if age appropriate) or Religious Education, Level 8. Once again, a copy of your child’s Baptism certificate will be required at registration. If there are questions or concerns, please call Cathy at 469-7835.

If you have older children or teens who are in need of Sacrament preparation, please call Cathy in the office. We will offer the Rite of Christian Initiation for children or teens who are in need. Classes will be offered if there is a need.
